Lovely site set in grounds of Netherwood house, backing onto the canal. Lovely walk by canal into Chester, with pubs on route with good food.

Site expensive for what’s on offer, especially the £2.50 dog charge.

Shame but the facilities were very disappointing. Shower was dirty with cobwebs galore, although floor clean, walls were not.

Water not controllable and very hot. Washing up facilities were next to the Elsan disposal point. Everything looked very tired around that area.

Apart from the facilities we loved the site

Why are our favourite sites so far away! Loved our stay her. Great location for exploring Chester which is a lovely city, right on the canal. Lovely atmosphere at the site. No complaints about the facilities. We will return and recommend

Great site. Close to Chester and other interesting places. The owner is very helpful and always willing to give help and directions to local places. Lovely location and very peaceful. We will be back next year. Thanks for everything Michelle.

Disappointing facilities. No hot water for dishes and dishwashing area is right next to elsan point with no screening. One shower for ladies and one for gents and both badly in need of upgrading. The location of the site is v good so it is a shame that the facilities are lacking.

Stayed at this small site April 12 to 15 2018. The weather was appalling on Thursday and Friday. But Michelle th owner of this site. Was on hand to help with any watery problem that might occur.

We shall certainly be back later on in the year. To see several promised improvements. Michelle deserves all the support she can get. And we wish her great success with Netherwoods. She works so hard. For the campsite guests. Excellent owner and site.

Nice quiet site. Good size pitches. 20 minute bike ride into Chester along canal tow path. 2 pubs/restaurants along the way. Showers are a bit dismal, only one in gents & ladies and in desperate need of TLC and only one water tap for whole site. For £23 a night it's a bit expensive and even more in high season & bank holidays. Been on better sites for less.

It is difficult to recommend this site to anyone who needs to use sanitary/washing facilities. There was only one WC, shower, small sink in the male room, and similar + 1 wc in the female. The washing up was a cold water outdoor sink.

The rest is superb. Delightful walk (50 mins) into Chester, canal side; good local buses, welcoming staff.

Stayed August bank holiday for 3 nights. Really nice site, lovely owners who couldn't do enough for you. Would recommend the site, within walking distance to the centre of Chester along the canal. Will definitely return.

Spent two nights here and very happy with the campsite. Location is absolutely perfect, with great access to Chester. We had a pitch right on the back of the canal and it gave easy access to the Cheshire Cat which is only a few hundred yards away. It also gave us a base for visiting Chester Zoo (which I believe is rated the 3rd best zoo in the world) - well worth a visit and is only 4 miles away.

The site was quite busy during our stay in terms of occupied pitches, but you wouldn't have thought it - there's so much room and it was as if we were staying on it by ourselves. There's also a large recreation field with a small play structure that my son made good use of.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will be back for definite, especially since there's so much to see in the area. Our only (very small) negative was the toilet/shower blocks are dated and could use a bit of an upgrade, although they were very clean.

Location location location. Just back. Spent 2 nights. Big mistake should have been a week. Got there a little late but our host Michelle just said site up enjoy and enjoy we did. There is a great walk along canal to chester, nice and flat stop off at havester then less than a mile, tell wife you need toilet and try cheshire cat evening meal mill house (fare n square ) on retail park. 4 adults 4 children £48, kids had pudding bargain. Thanks Michelle, see you soon
