We stayed in a shepherds hut.
It was peaceful and relaxing. There was no TV, so we played games, and went to the pub on site.
It's a dark skies area so it's lovely to look at the stars.
We love it there!

The policy of constant improvement certainly pays off.
I'm at a loss as to what I can add to my previous reviews.
Despite the appalling weather we had a thoroughly relaxing 7 days and nights and will return at the next possible opportunity.

Was greeted on arrival by a member of staff who gave us a fair bit of information regarding the site.
Nicely laid out site with a mixture of different types of pitches, all looked fairly level. We spent a couple of evenings in Monty's bar on the site which was great.
Fantastic dog walk on the site in the adjacent wood. Took a bus into Ringwood and had a nice few hours there.
Great dog walks not far from the site so for dog owners would highly recommend.
Different catering company visited every evening, food excellent and the toilet and shower block very nice.

I love this site. Pitch is plenty wide enough for Motorhome, awning and tow car and still have grassed area.
Showers are spotless (probably because there are no children). Different food vans arrived each evening. Had a few beers whilst we decided what food to have :). Also nearby pub which served food and was within 20 mins walk.
Will definitely stay again. If I could I would give more than 10 out of 10.

Yep, me again.
Finally made it to a Saturday night with a live band. Worth the effort, fuel, site fees and nearly pulling one corner off the rear nearside of the caravan. Still, been driving 53 years, all that experience was bound to pay off eventually.
Can't say anything more than I have already about the site.
Be back in October/November time.

Readers will probably be fed up seeing my name come up on here but this site just does it for us.
Easy to find, easy to access. A narrow lane but plenty of passing places.
Strong security.
Large enough pitches, some very, nice welcome, shop with essentials and more, and the new toilet/showers look perfect, (but we use our own in the van).
Decent walk around the site, woods and lakes.
9 hole golf course is fun, nobody seems to expect you to come back with as many, or indeed, the same balls that you went out with. On our second game we came back in a profit situation as we found two more. (Read into that what you will)
Visiting food vans are really quite good, and are available every evening.
Criticism alert: The seating arrangements have been changed in Monty's bar and we found it a backward step as it separates people and the opportunity to strike up a conversation with fellow visitors is limited.
Lots of local attractions, not least of which is The New Forest. Try the Tall Trees Trail.
This was our sixth visit and got our last stamp on our loyalty card. Not many sites offer such offers.
Of course we'll be back.

This was a great site. Well looked after with good, clean and we ll maintained wash blocks.
The site was nice and quiet and had great facilities, including a good bar on site (Montry’s Bar). It served good wine and ale. An unexpected surprise. Plus takeaway vans; we went for pizza which was really good.
The castleman Trailway is easily accessible from the site from where you can cycle into the Moors Valley country park, which made for a good day out.
Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area.
We had a great weekend here, could easily have added on another night or two.

Very helpful by Victoria at the gate where we were handed an envelope with informative details and a gate key inside. The site is well organised with a tarmac road around some of the site and hardstanding roads where the pitches are. The EHU is 10A and we had a tap next to our pitch which I could reach with our hose. Grey waste is disposed of in the hedge.
There are two facility blocks and one has disabled/unisex rooms. These rooms are certainly not accessible with a narrow door entrance, no rails around the (too low) toilet. Having a shower in the floor was flooded and there was no squeegee to dry up and I ended up getting dry standing in water and had a soggy towel. Also the hand towels are not filled regularly and the bins were overflowing.
There is a well stocked shop and fresh items from a local bakery can be ordered for the following morning. There is a bar and visiting food vans.
The grounds and pitches are very well maintained.
On the Friday afternoon the site really started to fillup and the happy hour was incredibly busy. Strangely this is supposed to be a tranquil site yet there was a band on the Friday night.
We left after 2 nights as it certainly is not our cup of tea.
We would not return.

I almost don't want to write this review for fear of not being able to get a booking.
We've been here a few times now & is our go to for Dorset.
This ticks all boxes for us.
We love that it's adult only, the pitches are spacious, the facilities are spotless,
The dog walk is an actual proper woodland walk,
The owners & staff are all really welcoming & friendly,
The bar is fantastic, it even has treats for the dog.
The shop has everything you need & visiting caterers are a welcome addition.
The owners have catered for our every need for a fantastic holiday.
