Lovely site - lots of space to pitch and a garden feel. Very friendly check-in. Shower/toilet block in timber building - very pleasant.
Small dog walk field. Due to the fact that we prefer not to drive once we have pitched up, the walk to the coastal path was a problem.
Quite a long stretch of very busy road with no pavement. Had to keep stopping with our dog to tuck in the verge to let traffic pass.
Enjoyed the coastal path along the estuary towards Newport.
Would be brilliant if the owners could negotiate some sort of footpath route to the coastal path.

What a delight this campsite is.
Lots of space in different areas, whether you like to be in a field or in hardstanding.
It is cared for with love, and has good clean showers and toilets, and a washing up area even with cooking facilities.
I shall certainly return.

Found this campsite as needed to visit relatives in Cardiff. Adults only & a very friendly & helpful couple who own it.
Pitches are good. Hard standing & flat. No probs siting caravan.
Showers/toilets/washing up are a bit quaint & rustic which adds to charm of campsite really as everything works ok. So worth a visit although the drive into Cardiff is a bit industrial.
To reach campsite from M4 ensure directions on campsite website are followed then access is no problem.
Security is good with code to open electric gates.

Very peaceful, relaxing site, hot, controllable showers. Spotlessly clean and well maintained pitches.
Hosts are very friendly and welcoming.
Good proximity to Cardiff and north to "Brecon Beacons" (if we are still allowed to call it that).
We will definitely use this site again.
Highly recommend a visit to the "Big Pit".

Was a lovely peaceful and clean site. Wasn’t too many others there which was a bonus for us.
Small dog exercise field to let dogs of leads. Very pretty surroundings with a lovely pond with ducks, ducklings and fish.
Only down side, which wasn’t the fault of hosts, was the availability of a taxi, ordered one of the recommended companies and after waiting for around 30 minutes and being told that it would be £10 for a 1 mile trip plus £3 for a dog called back to say they have none available for a considerable time.
Walked to the pub (Y Maerun) and thankfully one of the staff offered to drop us back when we were ready.

Friendly and welcoming owners. Lovely laid out site.
Shower rooms chilly ( not the water!) but when you camp in November in Wales you have to be brave!
