We checked out many tents after coming across one of these set up on display. Not one had the same feel of quality, space and flexibility. We are now the proud owners of a Colorado 5! Our 2 children one 4 and the other 3 have bagged the smaller bedroom which was fine by us! We have also purchased the canopy which is ideal for cooking under and as that transition space between inside and out for footwear etc. It is a breeze to pitch and strike a real winner.

We bought this tent in 2001 and have used it every year and its still going strong. We love the amount of space and the act you can stand up in it. If its raining there is loads of space inside to put the folding picnic table up and play cards, etc. I took my 6yo away by myself last year and managed to put it up by myself in 20minutes - am only 5ft2'. So I think its easy to put up. Couldn't get it back in the bag though but my hubby can no problem so I think it's me!

My husband and I are using the tent for just the two of us. Great roomy tent and doesn't make camping a chore. Its great to be able to have a large table inside and still have room for lots of guests. We have just bought the canopy and its like adding another room outside. Haven't found anything to match up to this tent yet.

Just returned from our 1st outing in our new Outwell Colorado 5. The tent is excellent, I looked at this site before purchasing it, weighing up the differences between it and the Minnisota 4. Although the Minnisota is attractive with it's 'bathtub' ground sheet, I felt the Colorado was more flexible. The front wall will move back creating a porch area, still leaving lots of space inside. Which proved very useful this weekend due to the lovely British summer, which meant we were able to cook in the open but still undercover. We also purchased the extension, which we have yet to use as we only camped a couple of nights, but I can imagine it adds acres of room. In short the Colorado is an excellent tent, extremely flexible, easy to pitch with two people, we can definitely recommend!

Outwell have relaunched this tent now with a SIG.

It is even better than before. The other changes include a porch to keep the rain off when opening the door & curtains that come up from the bottom and it is ORANGE. OK a little bright but you cannot lose it on the site!

It is an even better tent than before & a joys to pitch and take down. The same wonderful space and height and nothing lost in it's new form.

I purchased this Colorado 5 2011 signature edition at the end of August. I have only set it up in the garden to check it over (see photos) and I am very pleased with it. I would like to point out that the front wall does NOT. Move back on this edition so I hope Outwell bring out a front canopy soon. Got it for 325 with carpet and footprint. Bargain!

Great tent. My 2011 Colorado 5 was one of the very last ones that GoOutdoors had in stock and I paid 235 in December 2011. At this price the tent was a steal. I've now used it for the Easter weekend in the Yorkshire Dales. The tent performed very well. It rained a lot and we were snug and dry. Because it is a tunnel style, there is plenty of room for me, the wife and our two small kids. It is also very bright with the plastic window panels. I really think this is the perfect size. Sure, our friends had more space in their Vango Maritsa 600 but they couldn't even get it erected without help from me. I set my tent up without any help at all in about 45 minutes. I wish it had an extension for cooking but I've been able to create one with an excellent little tarp and a windbreak. I'm quite stoked about this tent and will get loads of use out of it.

We bought this tent for family trips and I must say we are really impressed. Love the flexibility of the living space and there is loads of room for living in during the wet cold Scottish nights that we've had recently. For a camping purist the tunnel shape might put you off but in terms of practicality its great. Looked at Vango Orchy as an alternative but thought quality was slightly better with the outwell.

Bought this tent from net for £138 from Yeomans camping for touring in France. When it arrived I initially thought it was too big for our needs but it pitches and comes down easily in around 10 to 15 minutes so no problem. We were so impressed, we slept in it in the garden after we'd first put it up. Loads of space in both bedrooms and living area. Plus, you can completely remove one of the sleeping inners if you require more living space (for portaloo etc) Stood up to heavy rain for 24 hours which started after we'd pitched it. Would prefer a heavier weight groundsheet but overall a brilliant tent for the money.

Bought this tent in the sales last year and have just used it for the first time and we are very impressed. Bought it to replace our larger and more awkward Kyham, as our daughter is grown up now and we thought a slightly smaller tent was in order. However she came with us this trip and the tent is more than adequate for three adults. She does however say that mattresses should be carefully positioned in the sleeping areas to avoid 'being kneed in the back by Dad'.

The tent is very well designed. The windows let in plenty of light and we were all able to sit round our table comfortably with plenty of room.

This tent assembles logically and easily and has very good ventilation panels, but is not drafty.

When packed the tent is heavy, mostly due to the strong steel poles. The instructions say to roll the tent round the poles, but my husband thinks it would be better if the poles were separate. I agree with him as I found the whole thing too heavy to put back in the loft.

However, this is an excellent tent and I look forwards to using it again in the summer.
