Family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 young children.

We bought this as we couldn't face putting up the 8 berth beast (Royal Atlanta 8) for overnight visits. Watched the video and practice pitched it a few times before testing it out this weekend. Felt very smug until we realised we'd put it away wrong and it popped up sort of inside out - eek! Still only took 40 mins to fix it (totally our fault) and set up everything in the tent. The tent itself is very spacious and very light. The bedrooms are nice and spacious, and the bathtub ground sheet works well. There was light rain all night, and there were no leaks in the morning. There was also no condensation in the tent in the morning. Plenty of useful pockets, and the doors (front and bedroom) fold away into little pockets so they're not in the way - that way you can use the bedroom areas as part of the living area in the day, something we don't do with the big beast. Took hardly any time to pack away, most time is spent tying up the guys. I can fold it away by myself (correctly!), and I'm only 5'4. I am a total Quechua convert and will be looking to get the base extension to go with it! I'd like to see it with a sig, but it is designed with ventilation in mind and the bathtub ground sheet is a good compromise. If you have young children and don't want to spend ages putting your tent up, then this is for you!

It really is a pop-up family tent - I can put it up and fold it away on my own or with just a hand from a child or adult, in literally minutes. Useful pockets inside. Survived a real downpour one night with no leaks. Just needs a gazebo-style awning to attach to the door for dining outside in the shade!
