1 Reviews of the 4000-hybrid-G

By: Ratty  Reason: I've used one  Made in: 2014   Rating:   Date: 10/04/2014

The Soulpad 4000-hybrid-G turned up well packaged and very quickly from the time of ordering.

On opening the box I was presented with a large bag containing the tent, poles and pegs. The tent comes supplied with two types of pegs and they are very chunky, not the flimsy pointless pegs you get with some tents.

The poles themselves are well made and very solid and look like they will handle a good deal of typical British weather.

Getting the tent up is an easy enough job for one person, but having two will speed things up. Lay out the groundsheet, with the canvas attached and using the small pegs we pegged this out making it taught. This is followed by loosely pegging the peg loops which are easily located and there are many of them.

Next is to put the three piece pole together and inserting this in to the middle of the tent whilst raising the canvas with the other end. The canvas is not too heavy and again should be easy for anyone to do on their own. The next part is to put the A frame up to make the opening which sits into the feet sewn in to the canvas and pop trough the top to make the shape.

Now it is a case of guyying out the tent and ensuring all guys are nice and tight and the tent takes it shape.

The sides roll up easily and quickly for any airflow that you wish. There is also internal hanging points for an inner tent if required.

The tent comes with a pre-made exit point for use with the SoulPad Blaze Flue, however we have not ordered that, so cannot comment on how easy it is to set this up.

A great tent and one I would be happy to recommend.
