Wonderfully sturdy tent. Has withstood all manner of harsh winds, rain you name it. Good communal living and sleeping areas probably best suited to families with children. The porch area provides enough space to leave muddy shoes or wellies out and not fear about them getting soaked. Overall a good buy. Would recommend to any novice campers who tend to prefer to pack light.

We bought our Vango Lomond 600 in June 2013 and used it for the 4th time this August 2014 bank holiday weekend. We invested in the porch extension after 2 outings and now feel it is home from home when away camping.
* As newbies to camping we have found pitching a relative easy process and attached the porch without problem.
* The fly screen at the front is great, it stops flies and another insects getting in as well as allowing you to air the tent out whilst being nearby but not watning to be in and out. A fly screen on the side door would be a great addition to the tent.
* Storage pockets in the bedroom are great and plenty of them but there is a lack of storage pockets in the living area, a hanging mesh with pockets from the middle of the bedroom door would be another great addition.
* I found there to be plenty windows and you were able to have the side windows either half or fully open.
* The porch extenstion gave us a full extra room which we keep all our cooking equipemnts and used as a dinning area. The king poles enables us to cook at the entrance no problem.
* As yet the tension system has not been tested, we have been very lucky with the weather when away.
I would highly recommend the Vango Lomond 600 as well as the porch extenstion.

This is a superb tent and excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it.
The reason I have only given it 9 stars is this tent is a little less refined in its finish than my last tent which was the Vango Icarus 500, but then this tent is a lot larger and only slightly more expensive and if you were to ask me to choose I would buy the Lomond over the Icarus.
The bedroom has a divider down the center for privacy and the lights out system Vango uses ensures you are not woken too early.
The lounge is a nice large space and we can fit in an inflatable settee, 2 large camping chairs and table, camp kitchen unit, fridge and storage unit and we still have plenty of space to move around without moving anything.
The front door is straight down rather than sloped and this helps to give you more room in the lounge area and is also a lot easier to get in and out.
The best feature of this tent has to be the canopy above the front door. It is wide enough to keep our cooker and gas bottle under without getting wet and often eat under it in bad weather. No more getting wet leaving and entering the tent on wet days so the tent stays nice and dry.
Vango's tention band system is another great feature and gives you piece of mind on a windy day that you tent will still be where you left it, and we have had to use this on a few occasions as we camp in all weathers.
The slight negatives I have found with this tent is there is no fly screen on the side door so in warm weather bugs fly in at night if the door is not closed and there is a lack of storage pockets in the living area, although there are plenty in the bedrooms. I also think there is a lack of windows in this tent with only one on each side, two small ones each side of the main door but none in the doors.
Overall this tent is easy to pitch and takes 2 of us about 20 minutes to pitch including the ground sheet that we peg out first and we often camp for just one night without it being a pain to errect.

We have just returned from our 2nd trip in this tent, a week in Cornwall. We are fairly new to camping and after doing lots of research thought this tent fitted our requirements perfectly, large enough for 2 adults, 1 little boy, the dog and all our stuff, and very reasonably priced!
We found the tent pretty easy to erect, taking about 30mins. This tent was the great layout for us, we removed the partition in the bedroom to create one large space, this worked perfectly for us. The large living area was great, especially as the weather was not always the best. There was plenty of space for storing all our stuff, eating, relaxing and playing. The porch is brilliant, and on our first outing with this tent, we cooked under it as the weather was lovely. However we knew we weren't going to be so lucky on our trip to Cornwall, so we had purchased an extension which basically tripled the size of the porch area, whilst still open at the front, we were sheltered from the wind and rain and cooked and ate all our meals under it. It was the best £50 we've spent! We bought an easy camp Boston extension rather than the Vango one, as we wanted an open ended extension, and it was a snip at under half the price of the Vango one. It attached to our tent very well and really transformed our tent in the inclement weather.
Throughout our trip we had torrential rain and gale force winds, and whilst other campers were giving up and going home, our Vango stood strong and battled on! The tension band system was really put to the test, and proved to be very effective. I would highly recommend this tent, we love the layout, and the quality of build and now I love it even more for protecting my family throughout the rough weather! Can't wait till next year, and many more happy camping trips.

We tried this out for the first time over the weekend and think it's going to be a popular one with families. We previously had a Vango Orchy and extension and wanted something quicker to pitch and this certainly was.
The bedrooms have special fabric making them darker than usual and stops the 7am sun blaring down on you. It's meant to be a six berth, but for us I'd say 4 berth with our large airbeds plus spare room for clothes. The living room is a good size and will easily take a kitchen big preparation unit, six chairs, good size table and our usual pile of games, dumped coats in a corner. It has an extending canopy which was great for cooking under/keeping the shade off us. Size wise it's 380cmx645cm and the canopy (although not measured) seemed to be a good meter at it's fullest. It has a side door which can be rolled up or extended with king poles, a mesh front door (which we found really handy as there were a lot of knats/flying bugs around) and pockets to roll curtains down into.
We pitched during rain and a light breeze, but the rest of the weekend was sunny so didn't have chance to test during heavy rain/winds. We had a good look at the seams and couldn't find any faults. It seemed steadier than our old Vango Orchy and has the added bonus of a special tension system which you can put into use during windy conditions.
I've given it 9/10 as we would have liked a few pockets in the living room area, although, there are plenty in the bedroom. This won't be an issue for some and, if curtains not rolled up, we could always use the curtain pockets. Well done Vango, we are really pleased with this tent.

A bright and airy tunnel tent with loads of living space. It is really easy to pitch and a great tent for the family looking for a quick break away.
