This was a Christmas present so it hasn't been away on any trips, but I have tested it in the garden. As you would expect it was easy to put up, I was working slowly, but it couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes and was fairly simple. The thing that took longest was the pegging out.
It comes with the tent inner pre-attached, but it will toggle off. There is plenty of room round the inner for storage and a significant amount at the front of the tent. Since I am planning to use it for solo camping most of the time this isn't a major issue for me but you would be able to get a couple of backpacks in there.
It was windy and a bit wet but no problems with keeping dry and it stood up well to the wind even before it was fully pegged out. It was a bit flappy, but I think that's down to my inexperience with the tent. I did start with the main pole set narrow and high but that left a big gap at the bottom of the fly, so low and wide works better. Even then I could sit up comfortably inside (am 5ft 10in) and there was enough space inside to really spread out. The attachments of the inner to the tent are adjustable The inner groundsheet feels quite thin, so I think I will invest in a footprint or something.
Getting it down was simple, even in a stiffish breeze. Packing it into the bag was fairly straightforward, when the tent arrived the bag seemed over-sized, but it isn't! The tent did go in first time, but only just.
On the down side, despite pitching on some very soggy ground I managed to bend some pegs (about half of them). Perhaps not surprising as they are the tiny aluminium ones. Will invest in some plastic ones. The other issue is the quality of the bag. When I went to put the tent away I noticed that the clip at the top of the bag had come almost completely off of the bag. The webbing had given way. I was very careful not to pull on the clips when putting the tent into the bag, so that's a quality issue Coleman need to address. Also, no matter how I tried, I couldn't get the top of the bag to close completely, so anything loose in the bag could fall out if the bag wasn't upright. I rolled the pegs and poles inside the tent so no worries there. I would prefer a bag that closed completely at the top - duffel style would be good. A handle on the bag would be nice too. For those reasons 9 out of 10 rather than the full 10.
