Used the tent for a nine day stay on the Gower last week found the tent ace we had four days of very warm weather and tent is a lot cooler inside than other tents I have and no problem with condensation in the morning and in the warm weather with the low down windows any breeze and any warm air vented out at the top of the tent and in the morning tent is a lot warmer than the all polyester tents we have and we did have a storm and winds we very high over night on the Wednesday and into the morning and checking the BBC weather forecast for where we were staying the winds forecast at 35mph and gust up to 43 to 48 mph and I can believe that when we got up on the Thursday morning a few campers had left over night, the tent did move in the wind when you had a very long gust but not so you were worried about the wind I was using Delta Pegs the big yellow ground anchor ultimate plastic ones also we had very heavy rain and no leeks and very happy with the fly screen doors. Only problem with this type of tent you do need a tarp or gazebo to get some shade from the sun we used a cotton tarp 3m x 3m but with this tent you do not have the top of the pole sticking from above the front door but not a problem just rested tarp over the door and ran the guy ropes out towards the back of the tent and pegged down and used the two poles at the front of the tarp. And with the zipped in ground sheet you could use it zipped out if you wanted too as some people like the grass under foot, So very happy with this tent if you need a tent to pitch in under fifteen minutes and take down and get back in the bag in under ten minutes and this is so easy to roll up and get back in the bag you should try this model.

I wanted a large polycotton tent that is quick to go up and manageable by 1 person. This fitted the bill perfectly. Gelert's reputation has wobbled a bit and they are now wholly owned by Sports Direct. I couldn't find any reviews on this tent but reviews on this site for the 4 and the 10 were encouraging. I got it at 20% off for using their online app to buy it. I was surprised at its relatively compact size and weight (17kg on the packaging and bag, not as shown here). I did a trial run on my sister's garden ( too big for mine) and it took me about 25 mins on my own. Bell tents are a doddle to put up, and I also made a separate groundsheet. A couple of weeks later we used it for four days at a festival in Wales, where we did have some heavy rain. It coped fine ( other than a few drips through the low vents because I forgot to shut them.)
Plus points of this tent are:
It is huge so the space to weight ratio is fab, you could sleep 8 in it comfortably and party with many more!
It's breathable and well ventilated, with half moon vents and a full mesh door.
The fabric feels lightweight but tough and well proofed.
Poles are aluminium so they are light yet strong.
Unlike some bell tents the door is standing height so no stooping.
It coped well with the downpours and the shape is stable and wind-shedding.
It dried extremely quickly when the sun came out.
The treatment on the fabric makes it quite stain resistant: berry coloured bird poo wiped straight off!
There is a cable entry point.
Negatives are a few minor niggles.
The groundsheet is the thinner oxford nylon type, but as already mentioned I make a separate footprint ( cheap tarp cut out) so that makes up for it.
The centre pole foot is cheap plastic and there is no top cap for it. I will use half a tennis ball next time as it just reduces the pressure of the pole tip against the fabric.
The A frame for the door does not have the usual spike through an eyelet, the tip sits in an plastic socket, so I will have to think about how to attach an awning.
There are two weird 'pins' ( like the ones that go inside the foot of a fibreglass pole) outside by the area of the feet of the A frame ( which is inside), but there is no way to do anything with them.
There is no inner tent available and no fixing points for one so a big tent like this can be cold overnight. I made some curtains to split the living and sleeping areas, attaching them to the centre pole with a big clip, and to the sides on some toggle attachments for storage pockets. This provided privacy and cut down the volume of the sleeping area.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this choice. It's nowhere near the quality of our Cabanon Guadeloupe, but then it's less than a third of the price, it will last years longer than polyester, and it ticked all the boxes in my search for a roomy modestly priced polycotton tent intended for mainly festivals where things can get a bit messy inside and out.
