1 Reviews of the High Peak Siskin 2

By: SCARFFO  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2017   Rating:   Date: 23/06/2019

A basic single skin tent that is a cinch to put up and is waterproof.

Here my thoughts on the one I own.

The Good:

Extremely easy to put up

Small footprint

Waterproof

All seams very well taped

Lots of ventillation points

Vey spacious for one person and gear

Not many tent pegs needed

Lightweight

Good colour scheme

Red floor is cheery when weather bad

2 guy ropes are adequate for fairly windy conditions

Reasonable height in apex

(im 5'8 and I can comfortably sit up)

Apex shape is good for shedding wind

For small tent is long, would easily fit a 6 ft person lying down

The Bad:

Budget feel with materials used

Floor is rubbery so some red colour transferred to green part of tent

Door is small with high lip making it a little awkward to get in and out

Single skin so collects condensation (but good ventilation helps a lot)

Great for one, but tight for two psople as izs usual these days.

All in all, not bad for a single skin tent.

I always enjoy being in it.

Durability seems reasonable.

Alot roomier than you would think.

RRP is high meaning you could biy better for price.

But if you can get it sub 50 its a better buy.
