We decided to upgrade to this tent and we also made a big mistake, price was reasonable at 99 in a sale.

Arrived at our chosen site 2 weeks ago 31 of July 2011 for a week in the Gower south Wales. Tent was easy to put up but then we had the same problem as a previous reviewer. Could not zip the door all the way round, we released all the relevant guy lines but to no avail, we then had to unclip the main plastic clips which attach the outer skin to the poles around the door area which then gave us the required slack so as not to break the zip.

Also when fully zipped up the door was a clear 2 inches shy of the ground which meant you got a right breeze blowing in to the tent.

And lastly the so called 2 person pods which fit inside the tent were hopeless, they billowed at the back so the poor person who slept at the back got a gob full of tent as they slept.

On the plus side we took the tent back to Decathlon who at first suggested that it is only a SUMMER tent OMG were only to happy to help when we showed them the photos of the gaping whole below our front door, and gave us a full refund. BRAVO Decathlon.

I decided to change my previous tent(quechua 6.2)and buy this one at a very reasonable price of 99,and to be honest I wish I had not. I am no expert when it comes to pitching a tent but to be fair to myself I have got a good idea, it took me and my 2 sons and a friend over a hour and a half to get it up and then the door would not fully zip up,we moved the ropes to try to fix the problem but it was to no avail. I read the instructions again and again but no good? The instructions stated it should be pitched at 90deg, my mate was staying at the same site in his touring van,he had a little device that measured the angles and they were spot on? We slept with the door open by about 15 inch,as it was impossible to close.

The good points--

Good size living area

Plenty of height & ideal for the taller person

The bad points--

Draughty due to not having fitted groundsheet

Found bedrooms small for 2 adults (and we are average size, but great for kids).

I contacted decathlon and they said the tent may of had a fault & was why the door would not zip up as it should.I returned it and was given a full refund because they were out of stock and could not guarantee further deliveries of the tent in the near future.

First pitch just under 1hr. Second 30 mins.Hope for 20 next time. Plenty of space for the four of us. Kids in 1 room us in another and 3rd for storage until they are too big to share then we'll utilise the living space more wisely (dumping ground at night!) so they have a room each. The kids love it as they are used to wild camping with me in a tiny tent! For the 99 it's still available for at Decathlon I would highly recommend it.Comes with 2 year warranty and if you don't like it you can apparently exchange it too! (I'm keeping mine though). A ground sheet would have given it 10/10

We got this tent when it was on offer for 99. As we were looking for a tent with large living area that didn't take up half the camp site. This is great the two kids (5 & 7) share one room, we have one and the other is used for storage. Very easy to put up (and down) about 20 min. Has stood up in high winds and kept us dry in a British summer. Excellent tent.

3 comfortable bedrooms 1.4m wide (but no great height) -- breathable polyester with low ventilation flaps -- 8 inside pockets + 4 outside in each bedroom.

Like all quechua tents, the waterproofing has been particularly well-developed, approved in lab tests (whole tent in a shower of 450 litres/h/m2!) and on field tests. -- polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet -- sealed thermo-bonded seams --140g/sq m polyethylene groundsheet.

Big top ventilation flap -- ventilation in each bedroom -- space between ground and flysheet -- top of the side can be opened even in the rain.
