I've had this tent for just over a year now, and have used it on camping trips in the Lakes (twice), Llangollen (twice), Glen Nevis and Edale.

In my experience it stands up to high winds very well, even without the extra guys it had little or no trouble coping with them.

It packs down very well, although the bag they provide you with is far too large for the tent, I use it for my SIM instead and put the tent into a Exped stuff sack.

The way that one of the doors doubles as an awning is very useful, especially to cook under if it is raining. I pinched a couple of poles from an old tent to hold the awning up rather than paying full price for the official set. I presume walking poles could also be used for this purpose.

I've had a few problems with damp coming through the groundsheet recently, which is why I've only given it a 9 out of 10. I've tried using some fabisil on it recently though, so hopefully that should help.

I find the tent is slightly short for my liking, I'm only 5' 11, but when I'm stretched out in bed either my feet or head can sometimes be uncomfortably close to the walls of the tent. As that might be an aspect (no pun intended) of the way I sleep and height of the SIM I use though, I have not marked it down for this.

Like most 2 person tents, I think it would be a squeeze for two full sized adults. As someone once said to me, 'its the type of tent that if you don't know the other person very well at the start of the night, you will by the end'. I think its fine for me though as I just use it for myself.

Overall a great tent, with lots of headroom, perfect for hiking as its light enough for one person to carry, but just gives you that extra space to spread out.

Bought this tent for a weeks treking through the lakes and found it to be a great tent.Me and the better half shared the load so about 1kg each to carry, quick to erect, great headroom and the awning with walking poles is a great touch.I also bought the ground sheet protector as well to keep the tent nice and clean all in all really impressed.

I totally agree although mine was bought for back packing and wild camping. I managed to get this for 90 and considering it is made by Terranova it's a steal.

The tent has been hit by some 60mph+ wind's in the lakes both on sites and on the fells but when the extra guys were fitted the tent stood with no trouble.

Plenty of room inside for me and the mrs and the awning used with your walking poles is great to. Plus the ventilation is great there has hardly been any condensation inside so all in all I'm very happy.

I took this tent on a cycling holiday in Wales and the tent was perfect for the trip.

I'll always want lighter stuff as I get more ancient but at 2.2 kg this one is not bad and super roomy, fitting into my panniers in an exped bag.

Its easy to put and a bit unusual having clip on extra guys. The first night we needed those guys [see pic] as 30 mph gusts hit us near St Davids. The tent was slightly shaken but not stirred.

There is much to admire in the design:the wide door and ample headroom means two can sit in the doorway and admire the view. This makes camping more enjoyable and the canopy was brilliant for cooking under in the rain. The best thing was the feeling of space - how did the designers do it with a relatively low weight?

Condensation was present as with all synthetic tents but did not cause any problem. It was warm enough - believe it or not in late July we had a night of 5deg C.

A smashing big 2 man tent with some super features and excellent value for money.

Manufacturer's Description

The Wild Country Aspect 2 has an effortless mix of form and function that makes it an easy to use and lightweight backpacking tent for 2 people.

All the features required for a comfortable trip are included, but at a fraction of the price and weighing only 2.2kg. The wide main door make access simple, while the smaller rear door offers ventilation options and second way in or out when sharing. The main door can also be turned into an awning using the Awning Pole Set (sold seperately), or walking poles.

The steep-sides give the inner a real feeling of space and stability not usually found in tents of this size, and the half-mesh door and wide roof vents help to keep the interior cool without sacrificing too much heat in cold weather.
