6 Reviews of the Starcamper 4

This is not, in my opinion, a four berth tent but two people requiring decent space it is ideal. I bought it just for my use and it has proved easy to erect, strong and waterproof. The 3000 h/h was one reason for buying it and that has paid dividends. The colour is uninspiring and does not particularly exclude early morning light. If I am touring touring I don't bother with the inner tent but am plenty warm enough. À quality product that will be a good second hand buy.

Easy to erect (just done on my own). Can be ready to eat or go out in an hour with kitchen and bedroom all ready. Slight crack in one pole damaged while dismantling in a gale.Would prefer dark canvas for bedroom area, have to erect with living area facing sunrise, will buy another if this preference is addressed.

I bought this because of the sewn-in groundsheet which our other tent does not have. I paid £129 for this tent and its great value for money. Large living area with plenty of room for table and chairs. Good sized bedroom which I can stand up in although my husband at 6' 1' cannot. Easy to erect and quick to take down. Excellent.

Extremely difficult to put up. The instructions were subject to different interpretations as they were not grammatically correct. Having put it up 5 times, we have now caused splits in all the poles. I would imagine that it might be easier with 3 or 4 people erecting it but not 2. Once up though, the tent was fine. Large enough and certainly very waterproof even in quite a heavy downpour.

This tent is a great easy to erect and put away tent. It's really spacious in the living area with great height. The closing of the bottom of the doors took a little bit of getting used to as they have a toggle and peg system. Zips all round might have been better. We only use the bedroom as 1 room and with one double airbed there is substantial space for storage. I am fairly sure that putting in two beds would be virtually impossible particularly if you use the dividing 'wall'. Also the bedroom(s) only have one door access so if you are sleeping on the left you would have to stand on the people on the right to get out! Luckily only two of use this tent and as a 2 berth or even 3 it's fantastic - 4 berth would be pushing it a bit. The colour is disgusting and I was disappointed that there wasn't another option but as I only paid £110 for mine I chose to compromise on that. With two doorways and large window the tent is light and airy. My first night in it was on a stormy night with bucketloads of rain and it withstood it all. I am really happy with this tent, putting it up is a breeze and similarly it folds away without effort. Great for me as a single mum I only need help for two seconds whilst putting the first poles into place because I need someone to hold the centre section up other than that I can get on with it. If you are 2 people looking for a bit more space then I would recommend you to buy this tent but be beware you will get negative comments from people about the colour but if you can put with the embarrassment then it's worth it.

Great tent, only problem is slightly bizarre colourway. Withstands all weathers, easy to erect, no condensation, great light and ventilation. Excellent headroom and bedroom size is fair. So far used it about 8 times and everytime is a joy, no repairs just erect and relax. Have bought the Outhouse Double xl by outdoor revolution to complement it I can feel assured the quality is excellent.
