4 Reviews of the Regatta Premium 2 Man

By: Ernie DB  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2014   Rating:

Bought S/hand but had only been used for 1 night so in as new condition. I have used for a week, solo camping in Mid/West Wales.

This is the ideal tent for the solo camper who wants standing height, a living room as well as bedroom within a smallish pitched size. The tent is easy to erect, peg out the rear, fit the three poles (3 pins on one ring in the middle of each side) pull on the front guys and up she goes, like a pram hood! Peg out front corners and rear guys and it's done. The inner tent (bedroom) is permanently attached.

This tent has a sewn in bathtub groundsheet throughout so no drafts or visiting wildlife. Well ventilated, I had no problem with condensation in wet or humid conditions. Zipped fly screens to bedroom and front doors. Internal curtains to windows. A carpet for the front area is included. Handy storage pockets in bedroom and living area. A zipped opening in the side of the SIG provides access for mains hookup, There are velcro cable straps up the inside to a hook at the apex for lighting.

Does it fit back in the bag? Yes, with compression straps on the bag to take the strain you can even close the zip and if not, you can expand the bag by undoing a zip around the bottom.

My view is this is a well designed tent of good build quality. My camping has just got even better!

Used for the first time last week. I camp on my own and found tent a bit difficult to put up first time but nothing that wont improve over time. Weather became very windy during my trip and tent held up very well. As someone said before ideal for one but for two I would think a bit tight. As far as I know this is the only 2 berth tent that I at 6ft can stand up in. One drawback is that there is no footprint for this model but I would recommend this tent to anyone

I bought this tent from Argos just yesterday and used it last night. I'm delighted with it. My search for an affordable two man tent I could (a) put up easily by myself, (b) stand up in and (c) sit on a chair in of an evening is ended. The carpet was a nice extra thing. It poured most of the time it was up and didn't leak. It wasn't windy so I can't comment on that. I'm just off to hang it over the banister to dry - the joys!

Just back from my first weekend camping in this - I was able to put it up easily by myself. The bedroom is large enough for a camp bed, luggage & portable toilet. The front area is large enough for a table & chair + storage, both tall enough to stand up in. Quite high wind at times but felt safe. Survived the enthusiasm of my 10 month old puppy bounding around in it and pulling out pegs. Love the thoughtful detail, eg carpet and hanging storage rack, that made it so comfortable. Might be a little crowded for a couple in wet weather but would definitely recommend for solo glamping.
