The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is a world famous spectacle,
originally designed as a meeting of balloonists and now one of the UK’s most
iconic events.
Throughout the four days there will be a wide array of attractions on the
site including model aircraft flying displays, inflation races, balloon
tethering, appearances from the EXIT Parachute Display Team, a Spitfire
Memorial Flight, an exhilarating display by the RAF Falcons Parachute
Display Team and the world’s premier aerobatic team - the legendary Royal
Air Force Red Arrows.
During the days there will be fairground rides from the waltzers and child
friendly rides to exhilarating ones. A delicious selection of food vendors
will be there offering a wide variety of cuisines from around the world..
Those with a sweet tooth will love the amazingly decorated cupcake stands or
pick ‘n’ mix tents or maybe visit the ice cream van for a classic ’99 in the
sun.
During the fiesta over 150 hot air balloons will take off from Ashton Court
Estate at 6am and 6pm and light up the skies on Thursday and Saturday night
with the famous nightglows.

OR why not hire a pre-erected tent! These high quality 4 man tents are perfect for couples, families or groups of friends. The tents have 2 bedrooms separated by a generous living room. The cost is £50.00 per night plus the normal fees above.
Facilities include:lovely flat pitches, hot showers, toilets, catering and bar provisions, onsite parking, 24 hour campsite personnel.
The campsite opens on Thurday 8th August at 12pm and closes on Monday 12th August at 10am. As part of the estate the campsite is accessible to vehicles via the Longwood Lane entrance of Ashton Court and is within a walking distance of the balloon launch site.
Check out is 10am on the day of departure but vehicles can remain onsite until 5pm. Please be aware that there will be road closures preventing access into the site from 6:30pm - midnight each evening.
NB. No dogs, caravans, campervans or campfires permitted onsite.
FAQs
1. Is there a minimum night stay? No you can stay from one to four nights, we charge on a per night per person basis.
2. Is there an extra charge for large tents? No we only charge on a per person basis.
3. Is there an extra charge for gazebos? Yes.
4. Can I bring a caravan or campervan? No I'm afraid not. Campervans can be parked in the car park but not slept in.
5. Are BBQs permitted? Yes BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE on a raised stand - Disposable BBQs not permitted.
