Hi
Am thinking of updating from a tent to a trailer tent.Have a limited budget and have been looking on ebay at conway Camargues and racelet Heralds. What I need to know is can both of these be put up without the awning for quick overnight stops? If not any other recomendations?
Thanks
Hi no one has answered you yet so i'll see if I can help
Most Trailer Tents have there kitchen free standing outside in the awning see eBay items 300149885450 &160156014643 .Plus you have all the awning etc in the trailer part, not very practical.I would suggest Folding Camper as they can be put up in about 20 mins for a quick stay.Have a look at Pennine Fiesta eBay item 230170346841 & 110168064874. One last question how many of you are there?

thanks for your replies. right there will be 2 adults and 2 teenagers.I have avery limmited budget so am looking at the older models.I also ahve my eye on a sunncamp 350 on ebay at the moment. any thoughts on that one .
Thanks
Hi Dawn ,I have a Raclet Jade for sale at £300 .Good general condition but might not be quite what you are after,I also don't know your location, get back to me on this thread if you are interested.Has a nice big box on the front for your extras, nice and roomy Trailer Tent. It's at a bargain price as I need the room.
Hi again ,have just looked at the pic of the Raclet Herald and although it has a extra awning section right after the sleeping compartment,it still has the 2 windowed bits after so is quite long, mine is similar in design. It has a Kitchen area that comes out on the right as you look at it from the front.I don't know how old it is but we were very comfortable and dry when we stayed in august when it rained all week.
Spent most of it in the tent watching dvds LOL.
I do think this is a bargain at £300 ,don't think you will get a better deal for the money,if I put it up at £400 it wouldn't be too expensive I'm sure.I have to sell though.
I can send you pic of the trailer if you would like it,it has a large cover which enabled us to get 3/4 full sized bikes on top under the cover and still get the cover on..It always towed well.
that does seem like a good price.....as you've spotted ours does have the middle section which adds a surprising amount of room. in fact we had to recently pitch up and leave it out (due to lack of pitch space) and we felt quite cramped inside. we have the raclet front box and spare wheel too......
if anyone wants more pictures of a herald just to look at, i can email some.....
Hi Dawn ,I havn't got any pics of it erected ,just the trailer but The colours are like one on ebay at the moment I think it was a Raclet Tribune,I'll have another look.
I can send you a pic of the Trailer ,where do I send it?
I'm in Farnborough in Hampshire ,juction 4 off the M3 not near you at all.
Hi Dawn put it on my Profile but think if you click on the first pic of my camper it will change to the trailer tent.Don't know quite why that happened, only I could do that,I'm not that clued up with comps.
Let me know if you can see it.
Sorry havn't got any pics of it erected ,at the moment way too busy to erect as we are having our driveway dugup tommorow.
If you look at the Raclet Tribune on ebay at the moment ,is the same colours ,similar design but flat fronted ,not hexagonal.
There is a Raclet Jade on ebay at the moment ,it's grey ,different colours to mine.It has a lot of extras with it where as mine will just be the trailer tent. It's got a fair starting bid.Mine hasn't got bike racks but found it worked just as well putting bikes between the ground sheets, removing handlebars and pedals.
It dosn't look like they have a front box on thiers though, this is very usefull and they are hard to get hold of,probably worth £100 on it's own.
It just depends what you want Dawn.I did find it a good trailer tent.I liked some of the design like the windows in the sleeping part having net, Clear Plastic and canvas in 3 layers on the windows.enabling you to open each one as needed. The beds were comfortable and roomy.Inner tents I liked too with lots of sections with curtains,I used one for a toilet compartment and the other for the Kitchen. You could shut different areas off.
It has been used and isn't a perfect tent but for the money I think it would be a good buy.As long as you arn't looking for perfection.
I was very pleased with it anyway.
There is one on ebay exactly the same as mine,I think mine has had a new trailer cover as the colour is cream unlike all the others ,it's also in good condition.
This one has extras too. They don't show the awni ng up but its the same as mine ,with kitchen extension etc.
Hi again Dawn,I see a Raclet Jade has recently sold on ebay for £580,looks the same as mine although ,it looks a bit longer in the pictures but pics can be decieving.I think mine open is approx 12 ft by about 18-19 ft not absolutly sure though.
If you go advanced search/completed listings only ,you will find it.This will give you an idea as mine is more or less the same .
