We're on for the new dates, Friday 31st August to Monday 3rd September
As already discussed I'll not be doing any pre-booking but if people can let me know if they are definitely coming that would be great. Need this info for toilets/water points, space etc, if possible, please.
For those already pre-booked we will honour the price of £22 and for those who didn't pre book we can still do a discount deal for this year only of £25. Everyone needs to pay on arrival and I can give your stewards a list of those who pay the £22 price. Their old tickets will be valid on payment of £22 then verification of a "paid" stamp which I can let your stewards borrow
Back from the jollies so looking forward to receiving all the emails letting me know who's coming. Please remember, everyone who comes has to pay on the gate as all previous cheques were shredded. Those who paid by postal order should have all received their refund if this was requested.
Phone line will open on 15th August once I've sorted myself out. Please remember this is office hours only and it does not operate an answerphone system even though it thinks it does!!
Camping my not be in the usual field, I'll give more details as and when I have them. Everyone needs to look for and follow the signs for non-booked caravans. Ask on the gate where the UKCS meet is being held.
Yep, sure can!! Please will you email me your deets, ie "proper" name and addy, number of peeps attending with you etc and if you'd already booked. All that info would help me no end as we may need to order more tix if lots of folk who didn't book last time are coming.
PLEASE when you contact me use the above format. Only three people have got it right so far and it's getting a bit of a pain having to email everyone back for their addresses, whether they were previously booked in and if they have tickets.
Also note our same T&Cs apply as previously. Your camping package at the special price is for two adults and their children. Your stewards will not have any extra rally tickets to sell so if there are more than two adults in your group they will need to buy tickets at the Elvaston Steam Rally entrance each day. All the tickets they have will need to be accounted for so please don't put them in a difficult situation by asking for more than you are entitled to.
I'd be more than happy to anwer any questions but hopefully it will be "as you were."
There are STIlLL some folk who've not sent me their full details. Please use the form above. It simplifies things no end for me [and, boy, do I need simple right now! LOL!]
I've had a couple of people asking me the situation on saving a pitch for a friend so that you can pitch together. That's fine, first one there save a space but please let your stewards know then let anyone else know who turns up and tries to park next door!!.
Can't help with who's going cos, I suspect, many will turn up on the Friday if it's nice. Don't know yet who the host is. Hope they make themselves known to me, LOL!
Dunno why it's not on the meets thread, over to Ratty.
Field won't be the usual one exactly opposite the showground entrance but it will be [at the time of writing] the next field up towards Elvaston village away from Borrowash. As usual please follow the signs for non booked caravans, even if you are booked. Ask, on arrival, where the UKCS meet is and you'll be pointed in the right direction.
As usual UKCS time is 12 noon arrival Friday and 12 noon departure Monday.
Please feel free to ask any more questions although I won't be here much over the Bank Hol so will prob have to wait until Tuesday for a reply.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
