Wow I love the idea of the base seconds full. Gives you somewhere to sit and eat etc. Wonder with them being so tall what it would be like in strong winds. PamJ
i love the idea of having the seconds base full as a porch for our 2 quechuas then another seconds base as an eating area, and the fact they take just minuts to put up and take down qould make it an ideal weekend tent etc.
Hubby likes them as well and now wants some including the inner tent for the base
Yes, I've seen them in Decathlon, and they look great! Next on my list - shame I just got a 3 seconds pop-up in the sale! That headroom must make all the difference. No more lying on your back with your legs in the air and trying to pull on damp socks! Johnny
there was a thread on this recently called quechua all the way and tarps for sale which provoked many positive comments about these tents.
i was fascinated with the idea of owning one as i was looking for something that i could pop up quickly for weekends. You can also turn the seconds full base into a tent with an inner for £21.
The tents are all known as 2 seconds but with lots of permitations. I went back and bought the 2 second xl 3 man instead of the 3 second light I had bought elsewhere.
I am glad I did as it is spacious with some subtle improvements. Pitched it for the first time on Saturday (just the tent, not the base) and it was brilliant. It pitches up and down so quickly, it is embarrassing. But I am going to buy the Delta pegs as recommended on this website just for peace of mind as the wind can affect them.

When camping in a tent, my wife likes it erect ASAP but when camping in the Cali, my wife likes it up nice and smooth.
I've seen it be 'put up' and down and it really is quick. The colour is well funky and the bits that stick out over the door are great for keeping the rain off even if the doors are open - wish our tent had them!
The space inside is OK - definitely usable for eating in, but because the roof slopes in, not much of it is standing height for anyone over 5'10 - they aren't as tall as they look IMO - nowhere near as tall as our tents.
Good for storing some extra gear, and perfect with the popup tents or, as my mate plans to use it, with a motorhome, but not worth it for us as we have far more space in our tents actual living area. Pity - means I just can't justify getting one even though they are so funky.

I'd love to get one for my son to use with his (unconverted) VW van. We have half shares in my (yet to be used) coleman event shelter but this looks great for a couple of mates at a motocross day out or if he goes off on his own for a bit of surfing.
Is the smaller one without Sig and the larger one with??
i couldn't quite work that out from the quechua site.
We do a 3 night festival and it would be brilliant to go back to using the pop ups and have room to stand up and get dressed without having to drag the khyam up the hill and faff about with erecting it. (i am not one of those campers who enjoys playing with tents for the sake of it!)
I had thought i was getting too blinkin old and creaky to do it but this could be the answer to a long and happy life of festive camping.
It would also make it worth going for a short break at short notice when the weather is good.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
