Hi all , i have a 12 volt relay that oscillates during switching , can i add a capacitor across the coil of the relay to stop the oscillating . If i can use a capacitor what size should i use .

I have noticed that if i try to measure the voltage across the coil with a digital multi-meter the effect of measuring stops the oscillation .

Hi Al+Mel , thanks for the info  , i've managed to sort it by adding a capacitor  was a bit of trial and error but got there in the end .
