Can anyone recomend a good camp site with no road near by(trafic noise) and a pub with in walking distance, suitable for family with 2 boys 7 & 9 for whit week(not the bank holiday) Looked at all reviews and there seems to be a slight nigle with all the sites maybe I'm looking for the impossible!!!!!

It is high up on a hill and away from the busy A515.
It has its own swimming pool (they charge extra for this), a little shop, a sizeable playground and a couple of good pubs within walking distance. Notably The Blue Bell Inn where the food is terrific and always a favourite with us. I believe that they are trying to get an old footpath reopened which will provide a better route to the pub than currently. Plenty of kids around for your lads to make friends with as well which helps with your own sanity!

Firs Farm near Belper, not actually the Peak District but we like it, it's quiet and has lovely views from the front of the site, a couple of pubs nearby and more in Belper.

Reason that I didnt link via UKCampsite is previousley the owners have not allowed reviews to be published on this site. This doesnt really add much value to the user experience and would more likely frustrate them. On a positive note however the ownership of Highfields Farm changed about 18months ago so it would be worthwhile getting someone from UKCampsite to contact the new owners and getting this restriction rectified if possible. BTW I have no financial incentive in promoting this camp site other than the fact that I have a seasonal pitch there.

What about Callow top, own pub, Tissington cycle/trail on doorstep, though I suspect it would not be cheap. I doubt many places are at this time and I fear you will be hard pressed to get anywhere if you don't hurry and book.
Oh forgot there,s Rivendale too good dog walk., own pub and near the T trail.
