Hi all...... Summer Hol's are nearly upon us and I hope that everyone is getting prepared ( and excited) for your various 'grand tours' wherever they make take you - home or abroad. Have a safe and pleasanrt journey wherever you may roam
We are staying part of our hol's in the Loire region and are contemplating booking for the Le Grand Parc - PuyDuFou Attraction .
Looking on the web ssite etc, we notice that there seem several big attractions that take place within the Parc, as well as the Cinescenie in the late evening.
Can anyone share their experience of the attraction overall, good bad or indifferent etc, and give advice as to whether its even worth the the visit.
Being adults only, we are not sure of how many days we would need to book, to take in the whole Parc at a leisurely pace and see everything within.
We were thinking of attending over 2 separate days split with other touring over the week...say day 1 Monday and then a second visit on the Friday..... .Would this be enough or too much?
We would also like to take in the the late CiniScenie Show, (10pm). Could this be achieved/linked say with the second of the visits or would it be too much in one day?
Sorry for all the questions, but it would be extremely helpful if those that have been could give us the benefit of their experience, as we know very little of the attraction other than what is shown on the web-site where there are no time scales re the different events etc.
Once many thanks in advance for all your help in this matter, it will be very much appreciated. Take every care and have a great summer. Warm regards...Pete

Hi runaway, we are going to Saumur too, and looked at going there, a couple of weeks ago there was an excellent thread on here, no bad replies at all, everything said was positive,
If you do a search on Puy Du Fou , it should come up with answers to most of your questions as I asked the same question about a month ago ! As a result I booked tickets for us to go on the 13th August. They only put on the night show on Fridays and saturdays and I know it does get booked up early .I had to ring and book my tickets over the phone as I wanted english translation headsets .
Hi Bryan and Louisa...Many .....many thanks for the thread links and the excellent info on PuyduFou.
I have just rung through to le Grand Parc and booked us in.
We have gone for Pack 5 , which is 2 days in the Grand Parc (Anytime) and the 1 evening Cinescenie performance for Friday 20 July, as they are fully booked for the 30th (Only twice weekly) as we would have moved to a different location by the time the next week-end performance came around.
We also booked the translation headphone sets, to make things a little easier, as thoughwe can speak French quite well, dialects and speed can sometimes be a bit of a prob LOL.
I am sure like every one before us we will greatly enjoy the experience....sounds really fantastic. Once again my sincerest thanks for your endeavours and I wish you every pleasure and safety during your forthcoming hol's. Take care and all the very best......Pete
