Naievely we left our caravan unattended on a municipal site at Fabrezan and unfortunately it's been broken into during the night. The so and so's have taken our loungers, the awning cover but not the poles and the hook-up cable. What barsteward takes an awning cover without poles? Everything else seems to be there, but no doubt we'll notice other things missing when we're back in it again.
I never did like those Isabella loungers, so now have an excuse to buy two new Lafumas for the caravan as well as the two we have on our roof terrace.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
The steps
Half the vacuum cleaner (the body but not any of the tools)
A cafetiere
Fortunately we don't have too many valuables - no CADAC, no TV or radio, no satellite system, and no antique paintings or £10,000 in cash! We don't leave laptops, cameras, binoculars, or anything else like that in the van when we're not there. They left our canoe, paddles and life jackets. Strangely the caravan isn't damaged in any way - no locks forced, no windows hanging off, it all just looks quite normal inside.
It all seems very odd. When David went to the caravan yesterday to put my clothes in, there was a 'white van' and trailer on the pitch next door, with a 'traveller' looking couple, and he's just wondering whether he caught them 'in the act' and they scarpered quickly. We slept in the caravan, though, last night, and I didn't feel at all bothered, so we're just going to Narbonne Accessories to replace the steps and perhaps the awning (with a nice sunshade type????) and SuperU for a replacement cafetiere!
