Can anybody tell me how heavy a full 6kg propane bottle is?  We currently use 3.9kg bottles, but the caravan we are hoping to order on Saturday will take the 6kg bottles and OH would like to use them if the weight is not a problem.  Thanks all.

Our 6kg Propane Gas bottle weighs 13.5kg when full and 7.5kg when empty .
So there is 6kg of gas in the bottle .

Hi Bernard and June - final decision on what to buy and where from will be made tomorrow at Earls Court, but we are 99% certain it will be a Compass Omega 524 from Castlecroft (where else?!) - John has offered is a flippin' good deal on trading Zippy in (still a bit sad about that - not really looking forward to him going ...)
