Hi has anyone ordered a caravan cover from the caravan cover shop? we ordered one on 25 Nov money was taken from our account 26 Nov and website said delivery would take 3 -5 days we are still waiting i have lost count of how many times we have tried to ring them, you just get an answerphone and they never return your call we have emailed them trying to get a tracker number for our order but again nothing. If there is anyone out there who has recieved an order from them could you please coment and tell us how long you waited. Thanks
I got mine from Riversway Leisure. Ordered Tuesday evening. Arrived Thursday as promised. OH had to exercise her sewing skills to get it to fit our pop-top Trigano though. She did a good job.
Sorry to hear you've still not had your cover but dont give up it may turn up eventually. Have you been onto trading standards about it? I know it's a bit late to say now but if I buy anything on line I always pay by either Paypal or a credit card that way there's always someone to fall back on to get your money back no matter how much it is.
The following correspondence was sent today and explains the situation.
I would recommended people use PAYPAL given the option, as they have a dispute resolution option, which I've used in the past and it worked for me. The credit card company will get involved, but, in my experience, they need to be pushed.

I write to confirm that further to our order sent on the 9th December 2012, we have still not received the caravan cover. This is despite the 3-5 day delivery terms you claim on your website.
I can also confirm, that despite repeated attempts by ourselves to resolve this matter, we have still not received any response or communication from you, other than for a recent and questionable credit memo you sent on the 28th December 2012. Our emails are left unanswered and telephone calls are met with a recorded message.
We understand, from online forums, that we are not the only customers to have been treated in this manner and that your business is not considered trustworthy.
A payment of £126.45 was deducted from my account on the 9th December for the item, and we therefore request this amount be immediately reimbursed without delay.
Porkypie, Have you heard anything from anyone about your cover or had a refund? iv just spoken to the distribution center and they wont give me the number for the people they deal with, there seems to be an awfull lot of people involved in this chain first you have the caravan cover shop then the goods are sent to the distribution center from another company, think we've been done.
I rang the consumers advice and the chap there told me to ring the bank because the caravan cover shop where in breach of contract as i hadn't had the cover within 30 days of placing the order he said i was intitled to a "Charge Back". So i rang up the bank told them what had happened and they said yes no problem i would get a full refund even though i paid with a debit card and it was under £100. So if you are in the same position please ring your bank dont let them get away with your hard earned cash.
Chris - Nope, not heard a jot, and don't expect to I'm afraid. I've taken it up with PayPal who have given them 20 days to respond, otherwise I will 'hopefully' get my money back.
Meanwhile, my caravan has leaking window seals and I can't order another cover in case the Carancovershop sends me the one I'd originally ordered!
Great news about your refund by the way. I bank with Smile Banking and they've been 'very' unhelpful so far.

Unfortunately i can not hold back your order as we use a third party distribution center to fulfill our orders.
If you no longer require the order, please refuse delivery on receipt and it will get sent back to us or if you want to keep it, just accept it.

Hi all. I had problems with the Caravan Cover Shop as well, but did get a refund eventually directly from them. This was only after involving PayPal, trading standards, and action fraud as well as writing to Elliot meads at his home address
