2 Reviews of the Shower / Toilet Tent
By: Webmaster Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2011 Rating: Date: 13/07/2012
In a word brilliant, the best toilet / utility tent I have owned, and used for a toilet / shower tent for my campervan. So simple to erect, pop the joints together and it goes up, poles and fly together. It uses the same poles / joint system as the Kyham Flexidome tents.
Sturdy, and big enough for a camping loo, and space for my duckboard next to it for the shower. Also use it as a general storage / utility tent for the fridge etc when I'm at sites with toilet / shower facilities.
As per MissElaineous's review, I had been looking for something like this for ages, can't stand fiddling around with pole threading etc when it's absolutely pouring down, which it inevitably is when I go camping! It's *exactly* the same tent as the one supplied by PETT Toilet systems for their folding loo, but they charged at least double.
Getting it down is very easy too, just a knack of folding it down in the right order, but got it after the second attempt.
Why, oh why have Khyam discontinued this!

This toilet/shower tent goes up really quickly. No pole threading, it's all ready to erect. Just pop up like an umbrella. Following the instructions supplied made erection easy, but packing away was a different matter. The instructions seemed to suggest releasing the top joints first but I just couldn't get them to move. So started at the bottom and worked up and it packed away easily. You need to put a bit of pressure on the top of the tent when you are releasing the last few joints or some of them can pop back up again.
It has 3 mesh panels with internal covers which I feel is better for privacy than external ones. Also has a covered velcroed slot in the roof to insert a shower through. There is enough room for a toilet and large flexi-tub if using for a shower room. You could even use it to cook in if you are looking for a small and easy to erect kitchen tent.
Does what I wanted it to. I have a really easy to erect tent so didn't want a toilet or utility tent that was more trouble than my main tent.

A simple quick erect toilet/shower tent based on the flexidome system. A covered opening on the side of the roof, allows access for a water hose for a shower system if required.
