The Paddock Touring Park in Wolsingham , Co. Durham is an award winning family run site situated alongside the River Wear and makes an ideal base for visiting many of the attractions the North East of England has to offer.
It's a five minutes walk into Wolsingham which offers 3 public houses, an Italian restaurant, 2 coffee shops, 2
takeaways, a local butcher, baker, gift shop, Spar and convenience store.
Although ball games and cycling are not allowed on the site, only a 10 minute
walk from the site is a large recreation area, a lovely children’s play area, an
outdoor fitness station and a new skateboard park. The Sports Hall and Indoor
Swimming Pool are a 15 minute walk from the site.
Dogs are very welcome and there are many walks directly from the site, and it's five minutes to lovely riverside walks.
The Paddock Touring Park is open from March to October, has hard standings (and 1 grass pitch) with electric hook-ups, a recently converted shower and toilet block, Chemical disposal point, washing up area and information point.
Complete site booking is also available for family gatherings, small rallies, local shows etc. - bookings now being taken for next season.
Hamsterley Forest with it’s miles of fantastic bike trails is less than 10
minutes drive from Wolsingham and is great for mountain bikers, walkers and dog
owners.
Next door is an accessory shop with gas and awning sales, and there is a caravan/motorhome workshop on site - appointments necessary.
