| Luna Delta TI caravan stolen from SAC Cars, Sidmouth, Devon on Saturday 18/11/2023 between 5pm and 5.45pm. Twin axle, 2015/16 model. There is a bit of damage on the door side of the caravan which look like awning pole marks near the front window and the off side rear of the caravan may now have slight damage as it hit a vehicle parked next to it when it was stolen. It will also have the door side wheel damaged as it was towed away with the Alko wheel clamp still on.

Look out for: dark windows on both sides and on back doors, silver painted rusty wheels instead of hubcaps, thin awning rail down top of passenger side, roof vent which you can see just sitting slightly proud on top of the van, missing front black column cover strip on passenger side of windscreen, radio aerial on the front of the roof is on passenger side (a lot of vans have the aerial in the middle), tow bar. | Bailey senator 5 stolen between 0427 and 0437 on Friday 28th April 2023 from The Bay Horse. Fitted with motor mover. Fitted lights to all cupboards & dimming lights in the bedroom area also, this is not standard on any 2006 bailey caravan. there are stickers from another Brand of caravan (Swift) covering some dents. Also one near the offside rear of the caravan covering a small hole. Also the front Stickers above the windows Senator series 5 decals are faded and partly missing.

| Hymer Nova 530k stolen from Blackmore End Essex, between 25/07 and 26/07/2022. CRIS ref 9878844, VIN Number WHYS32AHR57804536. Colour white. This is a fairly unusual looking caravan as it has two narrow windows where the bunks are. It also has an inflatable storm porch in blue and grey. The inside has dark blue upholstery, and the cupboards etc are a tan/ beech colour. There are a couple of distinguishing marks, one being a small crack/ rip to the lower offside near the front, and the other being a bent awning track to the near side rear. Also the cover to the fresh water inlet is actually an electric cover.

All doors locked. The motorhome had a smashed bumper. Grey lines painted on the side of the over cab on the outside as a way to identify it. I'm trying to get a photo of them. It also has a home made wood and wire cage underneath with a padlock behind the spare tyre for more storage.

Stolen with no mattresses, no cushions on bench seat, no headrests on bench seat, no wooden slats for making table into second bed. Inside, non-matching coat hooks screwed on in various places (eg inside sliding door).

It is a white van with a black painted roof- it is not neatly painted as we were treating rust. There are black paint brush strokes on the top side and rust brown spray marks. As caravanning, camping and motorhoming is becoming ever more popular, so is the unfortunate truth that more and more vehicles are being stolen each year.
We have listed some preventative measures that you could take to secure your unit against theft and vandalism.
Wheel Clamps and Hitch Locks - Simple precautions can be carried out to make it harder for the would be thief to tow away your pride and joy. Insurance approved wheel clamps and hitchlocks are a good way to help protect you from theft.
Leg Locks - Ensure that each caravan leg is securely wound down and use a Heavy Duty Leg Lock to lock them in place.
Ground Anchor & Chain Set - Secure Caravans, Motorhomes, and Trailers to a fixed point on a driveway or within a garage or workshop
Tracking Devices - Should you caravan or motorhome be stolen, tracking systems vastly improve the chances of quickly
recovering the vehicle and those irreplaceable valuables inside. Using
the Global Positioning Satellite system, the trackers mean you are able
to pinpoint the location of your stolen caravan or motorhome,
enabling the police to make a speedy recovery and catch the thieves.
Ensure that when leaving your unit for any period of time that all windows are securely locked shut, any
other lockers are all locked and the main door and roof hatches are all secure.
You could consider fitting a special caravan deadlock to the door this
could help prevent thieves from smashing a window and turning the door handle.
Etch onto your windows a unique number, e.g. chassis number, this could
help reduce the theft of your vehicle if the thief faces the prospect of
having to replace all the glass to avoid suspicion. Use a special etching tool
or ultraviolet pen to mark all valuables and interior fittings inside your
caravan with your postcode. Keep photos and a note of serial numbers at home to pass onto police to help identify and return a stolen caravan or goods.

CRiS - The Caravan Registration and Identification Scheme (CRiS) is
the national register of touring caravans, which was established in 1992
by the National Caravan Council in conjunction with HPI. CRiS helps
prevent and detect crime and acts as a security check for dealers and
private caravan buyers.

What to do if your caravan or motorhome is stolen
If the unfortunate happens to you and your pride and joy is stolen,
we suggest you follow the guideline below:
- Immediately contact your local police force and inform them of the
theft and gain a crime number (required for insurance). Make sure you
have all your documentation relating to the van to hand,
- Contact your insurance company to advise of the loss,
- If you have a tracker fitted, contact the tracking company to
activate the tracking system,
- Contact your local media and advise of the theft,
