Not told anything about ISG at the dealer, never heard of it. Anyway, we wondered why it kept cutting out at traffic lights. Now we know about that Have also found out that it needs to be deactivated.... ....more

My car has 13 pin & caravan has 12n & 12s. Rather than the agricultural adapter. I have chopped of the plugs on caravan & connected to the 12 core cable via choci block.

So got a BMW X1 1.8d sDrive auto max tow 1800kg
Anyone have any experience towing, only looking at a caravan max 1400kg mtplm but probably less than that, there’s a few in the 1250 - 1350kg rang.... ....more

I'm looking into changing my tow car for an X1 but I'm unsure on a 2.0 litre diesel or petrol. Both mpg figures seem quite good but how are they when towing a medium sized caravan?
