There's a newly opened campsite at Louviers between Rouen and Evreux, open from mid-March until the 1st November. I thought it may help many of us who use that route.

We are in France now (since 24th August) and have had difficulty getting into sites without a booking. It is only the third September we have been able to go away now I’ve retired - last two Covid yea.... ....more

Arrived at Vezac in the Dordogne yesterday, very hot (low to mid 30s) and then the predicted thundery showers arrived about 3.30am. We've read/heard about thunderstorms with hailstones the size.... ....more

What was the disembarkation like at Caen this year? We travelled back from there and it wasn't too bad, but we used the St Malo crossing on the way out, which was straightforward.Next year we are.... ....more

Hi all.
I have often advocated staying over night on the French services (Aires) as they are well equipped and free. I only ever stop overnight at the busier Aires, e.g. the ones with petrol stat.... ....more
