 I know that the rules have changed with regards to the foods we can take to Europe. Pre-Brexit, we would use an overnight ferry and take a picnic breakfast and lunch for that first day. It was cheap....  ....more

Warning. If you're heading for Saumur please be aware of the invasion of Mediterranean super-ants. By all accounts they are not very nice and are causing havoc among the locals.
