Hi we have a Trigano chantilly which we love it's huge so perfect for our family of 7! The only thing we don't like is the weight of the kitchen.

I was just wondering if anyone has fit wheels to their kitchen unit and if so is this a job worth doing.

Happy camping!

Yup.. I got two sets. So it has wheels both ends now. You get one wheel with a brake in each set so I have put these at the front on each end.

Its made life so much easier. I have a ceramic hip and a dodgy back.. and I can take the kitchen off of the TT and move it about all by myself, with no problem.

I've always wondered about the wheels that can be fitted to the Trigano kitchen units. How do the wheels perform when used on grass and/or hard standing gravel? I would have thought the wheels would dig into the grass/ground or hard standing gravel.

So you still have to lift it inside the tent then?

I don't have them, but wouldn't have thought so. I'm imagining:

Steadies down
Groundsheet from front box pegged out
Wheels down
Move to approximate position
Build tent
Move to final position

Although thinking about it, i'm guessing wouldn't work for SIG and ZIG?

That's about it,with only having the wheels on on end,I am still lifting a little, but it makes a massive difference, and at home too, when playing with the tent.

Hi Miserly. How do you go about removing the old legs? We have a Cabanon Saturn. Actually, do they just come off if you pull them far enough out? Thanks a lot. Our kitchen weighs a ton and think it's the cause of back trouble last time we camped.

The legs just drop out if you lift the kitchen high enough. Then, either replace the entire leg with a wheely ones or fit wheels to the original legs. The wheels are available at any Tesco ,4 for a pound

Defintely recommend the wheels. After the first year of arguing more about moving the kitchen than putting the rest of the TT up we bought some. We have all four wheels, 2 with brakes.

best thing we ever did, all we have to do now is lift it off the back of the TT together and then the hubby can do the rest. Our groundsheet lowers, so we just wheel it into the tent and lock it in place.

Each leg is adjustable, so it doesn't matter if the ground is uneven, the kitchen can still be set up properly.

Hi,

The one's shown in the ebay link above are square legs but my Trigano kitchen has round (3/4"?) legs. Anyone know of wheels that would fit?

Here is one of various retailers, you would need wheels and inserts. I think my wheels are an inch and a half.
