Hi all,
I have a very excellent 2006 Pathfinder and am trying to keep it that way, so have decided to do some work on the fold out bed hinges, over the years it seems the original setup, which uses captive nuts that anchor themselves into the internal side panels have seized and have been slowly drilling themselves into the panel and making the bolt holes larger than they should be, I intend to use stainless steel plates inside and out and use stainless steel tube to run the new bolts through rather than just allowing the hinges to rub against the bolts, sounds pretty straight forward, but on measuring the centre of the bolts to the edge of the side panels I've found that there is no single measurement, every one of them is different! So my question is, is there anyone out there who has attempted this job, if so any info would be much appreciated, or is there anyone who could run a tape over their hinges and give me a clue on where the bolt holes should be!!! Any inf would be most gratefully received.
