Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum so please forgive any newbie errors.

We have a Conway Continental Folding Camper (2008 - same base model as the Penine Sterling) and a full canvas awning, but it's a pain to put up if we are not doing a long stay.

My question is, has anyone got any suggestions for alternative awnings that would fit, or could be hacked to fit relatively easily.

I found the Montelena Air Porch at Pennine but it is over £1000

https://pennineoutdoorleisure.co.uk/pennine-air-porch

I've seen that other people have found different awnings for their camper trailers, so I'm hoping I can get some advice from you all.

One thing that has puzzled me is how do you attach an alternative - I read figure 8 clasps but have no idea what they are.

Thank you for you advice :0)

PS - Having looked at this some more. I have found that people have used the Vango Sonoma II 250 Inflatable Caravan Awning on the Pennine Sterling

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b93oSHYgGzY

Looks like most people have adapted with a zip, but some people have also adapted drive away awnings (like the Sonoma) with a figure of 8 strip

https://camperinteriors.co.uk/products/figure-of-8-for-drive-away-awning

Would this work? Has anyone got any expereince of adapating an awning for the Conway Continental?

Thanks again
