We had one years ago. It is basically a caravan up to the middle and a tent on the top with all the advantages and disadvantages of both. March/April in a Pennine you will need heating of some sort. If you are on hook up a combination of oil filled heater and extra bedding and you should be fine. Fan heaters work to warm the place up quickly, but can be noisy and shouldn't really be left on overnight. Views from the windows should be good. Enjoy.

Calpe, this is purely an observation, but you title all your topics the same rather than something to do with what you are actually enquiring about.
Thus in the future if a member is looking for assistance with something and they use the search field your topic will not come up.

eg if you had a post about let's say the gas system and you had just put Pennine Pathfinder Folding Camper, then anyone searching using the keyword gas would mean your post would not come up.

Hope that all makes sense.

if you think you could make it work in Oban in Mar / Apr, then you can cope with Donegal.

We used to have a folding camper of a different make and the earliest we ever used it was Easter each year. We had a fan heater for quick warmth and an oil filled radiator for overnight use plus heavy bedding and hot water bottles and we were fine. We have never been to Donegal in the camper but have been to various parts of Northern England in spring and managed well.

Using the camper at that time of year is a different experience to using it in the summer. In the summer we used to barbecue and sit outside or in the awning a lot but in the cooler months of spring, we tended to eat out more and go to the pub in the evenings, as even in sunny spring weather, when the sun goes down, it can get very chilly in the evening.

Get a good heated underblanket / mattress protector and you'll be toasty. Dreamland are good, in my experience. Switch on a high setting before getting into bed then just use a low setting overnight if required.

For when sitting in the cabin, you could use a heated throw. Easier to warm yourself than to heat the whole tent. Again, we've got Dreamland versions. Both the mattress protectors and the throws can be machine washed. The mattress protector is quite padded also makes the bed more comfy, we love ours and have used it when camping in sub zero temperatures.

I fitted the same plinth heater to our 2006 Pennine pathfinder that came with the newer pathfinder models. We are taking ours away next weekend and with the heater have used it as late as November. This is the first weekend away of the year to sir it out after winter storage
