Hi all. Please help. I unfortunately packed my T/Tent away while still wet and completely forgot to open it up once home because of other things happening and now the awning / kitchen canvas has developed some bad mold sections. Can anyone recommend a good cleaning company in the Surrey area or advise as to how I can clean it myself and waterproofing it again. Got a week camping in may, so got a bit of time to have it done or do it myself pending weather.
unfortunately, you will never remove the stains of the mould, and as only bleach will kill the mould spores that too would leave severe damage.
have you considered taking to a sail maker and have them replace the fabric sections that have been affected? it may turn out to be more cost effective
Dry it thoroughly then reproof it thoroughly, mould spots & all. As said, you won’t get rid of the spots now. (We found paint-on proofing seemed more effective than spray-on, but that might have changed as it was a while ago.) It’ll be a while before the canvas at the mould spots goes into holes.
Have a play around with Google putting in caravan awning cleaning.
There maybe no one near you but some of them will offer a collection service.

As well is two words!
