I've got a Cardinal, 1995, which is the updated version of the Tardis.
You'll get loads of advice on the COC site but as a starter you should check that it winds up & down smoothly and easily and that the canvas is all sound. Also check that the floor at the corners is solid as sometimes if the "socks" have not been used in wet weather on the uprights, the water can get in and make the floor go rotten.

On the tardis look on the inside at the back of the winch (winder) and the pulleys in each of the corners. Check the cables are running in the right part of the pulleys and that the cables are all equally tensioned.
no unfortunately didn't get it, got some great advice from the conway owners club and the greneral conclusion was it is far too expensive at £1,350.00.
Phoned and politely asked the seller why it was so expensive, at which he became annoyed and the deal feel through.
Will keep looking, loved camping in the tent this summer, just want to make it a little easier.
Hi just bought a old but we'll maintained tardis ..not collected yet ..worried now about the wind up as some say can be a problem and incredibly difficult to get repaired..I have taken note what things to look for ..any other advise ?
So sorry to jump on your thread but I was unsure how to start my own. I was wondering if anyone can reassure me of the weight the pullout beds can take as I am expecting and am a bit nervous to sleep on them first time. We have another adult who needs to sleep in the middle otherwise I would be headed there... Lol... ☺️
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
