Hi Baydreamer,There's no porch awnings now made for F/C's as far as I could find out.But a lady on this site (somewhere) sells one she adapts to fit, there's pictures of it to look at. Can someone please point this gent in the right direction, Jock
We bought a drive-away motorhome awning to go with our Cruiser. We attach it with a couple of awning poles and guy ropes. It's OK, easier than the full awning but still takes a while to put up and put down. I have just purchased a Quencha Base Seconds tent for £50 which literally pops up in 2 minutes. I have also bought a tarp and hope to use this to connect Cruiser to tent. The tent is smaller than an awning but big enough for table and chairs. Unfortunately it's not going to get a test run this year as I am also thinking about getting a second tent so that we have one either side of the camper, connected with the tarp.
These are the porches I adapt and attach a compatible zip so that they zip straight onto the original unit awning zip. They can be left zipped on when the unit is folded.
(Depending upon the year I can also adapt them for various Conway models)
We have one of Lisa's awnings and, though they're pricey (always going to be when they're practically "one offs"), we think it's given us big benefits.
Pitching it takes about 5 minutes. Taking it down about the same.
It's very light (about 7Kg) and is very small when packed. That means we have much more space in the underseat storage when packed up as the standard Pennine awning completely fills it. (You can leave it attached to the main unit when folded but we preferred not to.)
Downsides are that there's quite a bit of condensation (to be expected with any lightweight awning) and that as they're not actually made for the camper, headroom isn't quite as good as you'd get with the caravan.
It's also, obviously, narrower than the main awning - but it's at least as deep and it does cover the entire main body of the camper so it's bigger than you might expect.
We've very pleased with it. We're not sure we'll ever use the main awning again.
I too have one of Lisa's awnings on the Pathfinder. It takes me a bit more than 5 minutes (but I am on my own). As Paul says, I doubt I'll use the big awning again!
The only thing I've found is I can't pack it back into it's bag whilst attached to the camper, but then I'm not very tall! I find it easier to drop the camper roof, unzip the awning, pack it away then zip it back on before finishing folding the camper.
Hi.the blue one in the picture is mine,I sent Lisa the photo with it attached to our fiesta.I agree that this porch awning is brilliant, I have never used our awning that we got with the unit as I find it way to heavy and with the poles very bulky to carry around and I can use up the space for more immportant things that I use.We leave it on the unit in it`s bag regarding opening and closing I have a small two step alluminium ladder that I carry in the camper so its not difficult to pitch.I love it! Cheers.Alex

Don't bother packing it into it's bag, so long as it's dry, drop the roof poles, throw it over and fold the camper up with it still zipped on.

We have used ours for three seasons and never had any condensation in it, we always leave the curtains rolled up and never close them (can't be bothered) also make sure that the air vents are all open?

We haven't found condensation a problem either and use ours all the time.
Hmm. May have been the pitch then. We were always on gravel chip hard standing but the ground underneath was saturated. (Friends in a caravan next to us had standing water on their gravel chippings).

I only wanted it in the bag this time as I'm away again in a couple of weeks and won't want the awning! Easiest thing was to unzip, pack away and zip back on.

Fair enough, I thought you were struggling each time you used it
What type of awning is the blue one, before it was adapted. It seems to be a bit lager than the other one or is this because the unit it is attached to is smaller?
