If it is going to snake it is almost always downhill. I recently saw a huge 6 birth single axle caravan being towed by a vauxhall vectra completely wrecked 2/3ds of the way down a hill on a 70mph road. May have been bad luck but probably a combo of too much speed and less than perfect weight distribution in the van & car. Hopefully nobody was hurt. As already mentioned even a well balanced trailer can mis-behave on poor road surfaces but load up carefully and you should be stable and safe!
