I have put the little T level between the gas bottles in the front locker. I find it really easy to pop the cover open and view the levels while twiddling the jockey wheel adjuster, its on the main floor panel and seems to be accurate enough.
When using a wedge, the wife can nip in between and check the level as I pull the unit up the wedge.
I'm a new pathfinder owner and thus far I haven't had to worry too much about levelling from side to side. Do you guys reverse the camper back or can you use a jack to place it on ramps. Also any recommendation on the ramps to use..... For next time..
On my Countryman I use a small T level on the worktop by the sink/cooker depending on what side needs lifting. Side to side levelling we do using a Bulldog caravan leveller (purchased from ebay for about £20). Front to back is done using the jockey wheel.
if you are able to reverse back ok then that is worth doing however not as easy as it sounds!
If using a jack of some sort you will need a substantial one. We took our trolly jack to France and used that on sight though we had only packed it in the first place to deal with punctures etc.. As it takes up so much room we can only take if not taking our dogs!
any plastic ramp will do or quite a few people use planks that are of course much easier to drive on to. the plastic ramps can also double as a wheel stop should there be quite a slope and you need one that comes with a chock stop.
i use a little t level on the drawbar seems to get it near enough ,everything works anyway .and why worry after all the earths round ,its like trying to level a matchstick on a beach ball init
