OH says we are going this weekend whatever... going to buy a storm strap and packing the thermals!!
Hi. Hope all goes well for you.
I bought 2 storm straps when we got our Solena last year. one for the cabin and one for the awning, plus some padded sleeves to keep them from rubbing the canvas.
Well -3 here last night lovely white frost over every thing including the utility tent,we had ice on the inside of the utility roof which is now thawing, dont you just love winter camping in April
------------- they said it couldnt be done so i left it and went camping
a bad days camping is better than a good day at work
Got back from Devon yesterday and cut our onward trip short as we had a very wet pack up for first time! Was cold but ok in bed and inside with heaters on. We continue to learn new things as never camped this early before. Hope everyone stays safe and warm. We are drying out on drive today!
as with most of the country we were in the deluge of sunday night and easter monday,[Brighton area] thankfully all dry inside and cosy warm, extra duvet and blow air heater, have been this early before, but don`t make a habit of it, easter should be warm........ to melt them choccy eggs!!! but a delight to awake Teusday to the sun and a dry pack up
------------- That's not a dog....... That's a Schnauzer
Well, we had a fantastic 4 days in Cornwall (Veryan C&CC Club site) and the only really bad day was Monday.
An electric heater, electric blanket and plenty of warm clothes meant that we were very snug at night and the days weren't too cold (not really anyway).
Luckily we had planned on a visit to the Eden Project on Monday so a lot of the time was spent inside anyway.
The main thing is, Mrs Jimbo had a good time, even though she really wasn't looking forward to it, so Easter camping will be on the cards for next year too.
And we had a dry pack up this morning as a billy bonus!
------------- Give a man a fish and he'll feed his family for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit around on a boat all day drinking beer!
