I have used a couple of different digital tuners for my iPad. In theory they are great and should let you watch any free to air digital channels without the need for WiFi or 3G/4G.
Unfortunately in my experience I have never had a good enough signal from the built in aerial to get more than one or two channels.
Although the Tizi does have the option to plug in an external aerial it should work well if you fit a high performance aerial to your FC. It costs about £100 and the aerial adapter is extra (as is a high gain aerial which you would need to buy separately)
Oh bum, there's always something you have to plug into something else.my wife's on the three network, brilliant. But go near London m25 useless. Where as I'm on O2 everywhere useless near m25 brilliant but my 3G Is capped.

I have a good few app to but like I sed campsites are usually in the stick so hard to get 3G, this belkin device has an addition aerial that you can plug in that cost £8.99 that let's u put a bigger aerial up, pretty much guaranteed a signal, hear us the link to the accessories.

I find 3's 3G very good and the prepay is only £11 for 3GB. So far been able to get signal at all sites. Been sufficent for YouTube, iplayer and Internet.
Yeah my wife's 3's 3G is amazing but you go anywhere near the m25 or within useless, it seems that's their only black spot. Or the 2 places the wife's been to anyway.

Godaddy, sorry only just read ur comment, MrT so far the kit has cost me under £60, well let u know how I get on, but honest I can't see a problem, I rather have this kit with an external aerial than carting a tv around, we went to matlock and the 3G was shocking, I have a 10gb package with the pad, 2 gig on my phone, unlimited with works phone and 1 gig on wife's phone, great we have enough data but no bloody 3G lol.
Lol that's typical, yeah I've just read up all sounds good to me, once 4g roles out it should be better as its supposed to penetrate deeper. I can't be dealing with a tv as well just gets too much.hmmm makes me wonder if there's a 3G signal booster, I will be erecting my own phone mast soon on a campsite site complete with sub station and tv aerials hanging off of it as well.

Lol, I think that's the way forward, I can't c 4g being much better for black spots personally, our IT department feel the same, even wifi for streaming can be a problem with electrical items that are used daily I. The house, hence I have all our house hard wired.
Yeah I was actually told this by a computer whizz(geek) I have virgin broadband and the wifi is terrible. Literally walk next door nothing. So much for wireless.

Tbh, I did a lot of shows but since the kids ect I really don't get the time, work is busy and often spend time sorting stuff out, but we bought the TT for this reason to spend good weekends away with the kids and have some good British holidays. Has the festival just passed or is it still due?
Hi , they're just assembling the track at the moment, it's the biggest gathering of super cars in the world, or used to be and the best car show as well. Literally people come from all over the world and bring their cars. The car park is just as good sometimes, everything from formula 1 to super cars to rally cars etc. very good day out, if you can get a ticket they sell out fast.
I just let my mates take me out in their tuned cars now, works out a lot cheaper especially when they're dropping touring car engines in their cars now.
I'm the same since having kids but I just enjoy getting away and chilling now.

Yes the deadly cosworth specially built touring car lump. I'm just waiting to go out in it, he's having all the special inter cooler pipes made at the mo.
engines have been in and out that car for retuning etc more times than we've probably had hot dinners.
Like I say last time it was brutal, don't think he could do much more to a standard cossie engine, so he's go to the next level lol.

Lol, anyway, received my Tizi and wow what a piece of kit, picked up all the channels at hme, I have ordered the adapter to hook up a mini high gain aerial that is only £10 so this will pretty much guarantee a signal , got to say well worth the money and will stop me lugging a TV around, this is a must have for tablet users, on IOS I have downloaded the tizi remote, this allows me to control all the function from my armchair,
