I wish I'd spotted the heater was plugged into a 13amp socket. I bought a wireless roomstat (with 32 amp contact rating as most can't take an electric heater load) and wired it into the cable feeding that 13 amp socket (where it runs through the sofa locker). It works well, but was a pain to do and the plug in option looks much easier.
I recently purchased one of those Flureon wireless thermostats with plug for my FC.
Used it a week ago in a campsite in shadow of Mont Blanc. Set it at 18 c. Could only put heater on low setting with fan because only 6 amps on campsite.
Heater never turned off! Couldn't get the temperature up to 18.
Next site, San Marino, cold at night but not so cold and it worked perfectly, I was so pleased with myself and told the wife a couple of times I was aware the heater came on and then went off.
Next time was Greece, there I was setting it up and the wife asked me ( well told me) to stop messing about with it, she doesn't like the "dry" heat.
So really pleased with the purchase which did exactly what I wanted.
I just wish the wife had made her point before I purchased it.
You judge for yourselves whether it was a good acquisition, cheaper than the wife though and quieter in operation.
