they don't recommend that you remove the canvas for winter draig,maybe the cushions/matresses but most people don't - we've had a fewe and never removed any and they've all been fine. Its a lot of canvas and sort of semi[perm fixed at both ends from what I can remember.........

Takes about half an hour Draig but I don't think there's any need. We took ours off to have a zip changed.
