Thanks Jan. I am sure it is just an "anti-flapping" set of rings, but just in case, I have written to Pennine and I will let you know what they say.

Here is the answer that I received from the Pennine Group this morning.

Thank you for your email below.  We can confirm that the 3 black rings are for guying the awning flap when the awning is not in use to prevent it from ‘flapping’ in certain conditions.

Assuring you of our best intentions at all times.

Kind regards

The Pennine Group

It is aditions like this that show the difference between camping units that have been in development for a number of years and ones like the Sprintaway that are new in design and have not had the time to mature and improve.

we found out about the flapping the hard way of course, when a wind got up in the middle of the night and we were too tired to get out of bed and sort.   Usually remember to tie the flap down when we set up now!

Well I have gone full circle now and 9 weeks after buying the Pennine Pathfinder, the Sprintaway Lux van has sold.

I didn't even have to aadvertise it as 2 members here on UKCS heard I was thinking of selling it and they came to see it.

They bought it there and then and came to collect it yesterday.

Now that I have the space, I can erect the Pathfinder inside the garage while I work on it or if I ever need to dry it out.
