Hi fraser b,
We bought our Jamet Louisiane last year and think they're great! We have devised our own way of erecting it since it's our first trailer tent and the previous owner didn't show us.
Good tips
1. Buy a small aluminium ladder this helps with centre poles and placing canvas.
2. Use electrical tape to identify where the poles go then pack the left, right and middle poles seperately - this makes erecting much quicker.
3. Fold canvas so that it opens out from the zip to the front in a long roll. Mark the centre.
Having unhitched, levelled & stabilised the trailer, open out the beds, fit the three main attaching poles - push into trailer pole about 8 inches, finish frame including the 2 supports for the middle (We build in the cooking area after). Drape the centre of the canvas over the centre pole, and then over the sides, zip up and unroll canvas from middle of tent to front. To give tension to the frame and canvas pull on three main connecting poles until the second nipple shows. Now add the kitchen poles, waste pipes etc, fasten all interior zips and peg out. Add inner tent in same way working from centre to front of tent. I hope this helps, if you need more detailed info on the poles etc just email me and we'll do what we can to help. It gets easier each time you pitch!!
Happy Trailer tenting!!! You never know we may pitch on same site sometime!
Regards Sue
