I was the same a couple of months ago I eventually purchased a Raclet Marathon which we used for the first time at Easter .I decided on the Raclet due to the ease it goes up and the quality of the canvas and I have not been disappointed . managed to put up the TT inabout 50mins which I thought was not bad for a first atempt and took it down and was hitching up in about 45mins Beng in Northern Ireland I did not really have a great deal of choice.
They`re all good makes. Buy the one that appeals most to you, allowing for price of course. I`m fond of Conways, because I`ve got one, and I`ve always fancied a Cambridge, but the Raclets are nice too.
we've got a raclet herald (picture in my gallery). first one we looked at - main concern was budget and condition. i think we need practise to put up more quickly, but once it's up we're more than happy. it did come with a couple of extras - front storage box, 1.2m awning, and roof lining & spare wheel (not sure if this is standard or not)
one thing i do like about the raclet is the lightness of the kitchen - which is a 2man job on others as it has to be lifted off the back as apposed to swinging out on the door
with the extension it's bloody huge....my inlaws had a conway and they thougth that was good but they rate the raclet better
Try and find a dealer who has TTs on display. You can then have a good look at them, compare and see what suits you. You're very likely to walk into one and think, yep that's the one for me!
We had a TT (Conway Camborne) some 4 years ago and we are lucky to live just 40 mins drive from Camping International in Sussex. They had a really good selection on display. Wish I knew how many calories I burned off trotting to and from and in and out of all of them!!
