 hi could you tell me what trailer tent weight i can tow in a vw golf gti tdi 150 bhp it is on a 53 plate thanks

Hi

Short answer, probably almost any trailer tent (but probably not a folding camper).

Tow weight limit on current Golf is 620kg unbraked. Most trailer tents max gross weight is about 400 - 600Kg, and most are unbraked from factory.

Another issue is tow-ball spec of car versus nose-weight of the trailer tent, but again you should be ok there.

You need to look careflly at the specs of the car and whatever TT you're looking at. Maybe take your car specs to a trailer tent dealer for advice?

Hi Refererring  to Trekkin Tekkies answer if you go here www.cuddles.abelgratis.net/kerbweights you can check your vehicle towing weight. According to this site the Golf GT TDi 150 will tow 1141Kg so I think you'll find you well within the limits for even the biggest of folding campers such as the Pennine Pathfinder which comes in at 850Kg unladen. Hope this helps.
