Can anyone help me. I have been offered a Jupiter by a dealer who says its a 2006 model but suspect it may be 2005. Is there anyway of telling  the difference? I think there may be an extra zip on the 2006. He also said it has never been used. Again is there a way of telling? i.e. plastic wrapping on unopened parts ect.Whats the general thought on these trailers? looks good quality.

There may be a date stamp on the chassis plate. There is on my Sunncamp.

Just a thought,

I don't think you need to worry whether it is a 2005 or 2006 model, if there are any differences (and I don't think there are) they will be minor. The main question I would ask the dealer is if it was an ex demo unit. If it is ask to see it up as the amount of wear and tear a demo unit can get wil be variable. When we bought our ex demo Jupiter we also looked at a Conway Carnival (at the same dealer). The Conway has been on demo a lot longer that the Cabanon and it showed. Our Jupiter had only been on demo for a few weeks as the very popular Stratos took it's place in the showroom hence it was almost as new, the awning was still unopened.

All in all a very good (and big)tent, quality canvas from a top manufacturer.

Thanks for the advice. The dealer wants £2195 for it which sounds like a bargain if its as good as he says. Also says it will have new set of awning poles from cabanon as the set with it got sent out with a new unit as they were missing and ours had not been opened. Will have a good look at it this weekend and  hopefully take it with us for our holiday in 4 weeks to the New forest. Cant wait.
