The OH and myself are interested in getting a 2 berth TT.We have seen three that we like and would like to know if anyone out there owns one of these and can give us their views. They are the Cabanon Venus, Sunncamp 240 Duo and the Raclet Solena.
I own a Raclet Solena and its fantastic, very quick and easy to put up and light to tow. I have found if i am alone or just my little bou camping with me i dont need the awning so i am set up in about 10 minutes which is fantastic. Cant comment on the other two as i have not used or owned either of them. There is also a fantastic dealer for parts for Raclets and they offer the most fantastic/quick service should you need advice and parts. Good luck with your search
------------- If life gives you lemons throw them at someone :)
Hi, Iv'e got the Sunncamp 240 Duo and it is great. You will see on the For Sale that I am selling it - VERY RELUCTANTLY as I have had a shoulder op and can't camp anymore. It was only bought last summer and is immaculate. What me and OH liked about it was the way the cabin could be used on its own with no pegging - really good if you turn up in bad weather for example. The awning is a doddle to attach and opens up on all 3 sides if you want to use it as a sun canopy. Very light to tow and takes no space to store. Good luck in whatever choice you make
go for the raclet solena we took the time to look at other two births camper & the solena was the best in my opinon it very quick to erect has a full storage rack, nice & light, the main unit could be put up in les than 5 mins the awning about 10-15 mins, we only sold because are daughter wanted her own bed.& the solena was a dream to tow, plus loads of under storage space under the large bed.
The cost was nothing to do with why I chose the Raclet. I chose it because the top becomes the floor of the unit which enables you standing space and also the ease of putting up and down.
Thank for all your comments. We have decided to go with the Sunncamp and put a deposit down yesterday. All being well we will be able to go away in it in July. I will try and remember to do a review when we try and put it up for the first time on our own!!.
