Hi I'm Gareth & I've recently purchased a 2000 model Pennine Pathfinder. As a family, we love it but have a bit of a problem with the 4 cross support bars. (the ones that are stored accross the camper when folded.)

There are round hooks at one end and square hooks at the other but whichever way we put them in, they will not stay in when it gets a little windy.

Any tips?

The rounded ends of the poles should be to the centre of the unit. The other ends should also have pop fastners that attach to the top of the end frame into which they slot. Once slotted into place they need to be pulled apart, until the pop button in their middle is released which will then hold tham at the correct tension - the purpose of these poles is to keep the correct tension from front to back when the unit is errected. There are two distinct pairs of poles and they should be marked for you "tow bar end" and "seat end". They are slightly different in length, and it is important that they are the correct way around.

Provided that the poles are in the correct position and are correctly tensioned, there should be no problem with them staying in place an any conditions.

Thanks for the advice Patrick O. my only problem is that there are no pop fasteners on my poles. I`ll have to improvise me thinks.

Thanks again Gareth.
